Meet Our Realtor Teresa Graham

Teresa GrahamHello Again!  Our team at Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate, Elliott Coastal Living in North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, is continuing to grow, and we are back to introduce you to another new agent, Teresa Graham.  She grew up in Loris, South Carolina, approximately 35 miles from Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

Teresa’s father was a contractor, and her mother was a full-time housewife.  According to Teresa, she learned a plethora of information on buildings, architecture, and design from her father, who worked on multi-million-dollar building projects.  She believes her interest in homes and real estate comes from her father and his passion for the building process.

Teresa attended Tabor City High School in North Carolina, where she played softball and volleyball.  When she graduated, she attended Horry-Georgetown Technical College, which is approximately 10 miles east of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, and majored in Photography.

After earning her degree, Teresa worked for an Insurance Agency in Loris, South Carolina, approximately 20 miles west of North Myrtle Beach.  She worked in the Insurance Agency for years until she decided to take some time off to be a full-time housewife to her husband, Perrin, and stay-at-home mom for her three children:  Kayla—now 26; Hunter—now 20; and Tristen, who is currently 14.  She also has two “fur babies”—an English Bulldog, Pickles, and a Silver Lab, Bullet.

As Teresa’s children grew older, she began working for the family business, Carolina Linen, where her responsibilities included management, payroll, human resources, and accounting.  She worked for Carolina Linen for over 15 years.

Teresa enjoys staying active and spending time outdoors.  Her hobbies include spending time on the beach, paddleboarding, and with her children.  Additionally, she has always been interested in photography, home design, and renovating, making the transition to real estate easy for her.  Now that Teresa has become a beach real estate agent, let’s see how she feels about her business.

Q:  Teresa, there are many real estate agencies located in North Myrtle Beach, Myrtle Beach, and along the Grand Strand, but you chose Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Elliott Coastal Living (BHGRE/ECL).  Why?

A:  Coming to BHGRE was an easy decision for me. To begin with, the staff and support at BHGRE are fantastic. BHGRE is large enough to provide diverse properties for diverse clients’ needs but small enough to offer unmatched customer service. They have made the transition easy for me, with room to grow. I’m excited to grow alongside a well-respected company.

Q:  How will you market yourself to a potential client that causes them to choose you as their agent?

A:  I will highlight my strengths as an effective communicator. I find that clients respond most readily to genuine agents. I’m confident clients will respond to my demeanor and “Southern hospitality.”

Q:  What assets do you have that will contribute to your success as a beach real estate agent?

A:  I’m incredibly driven, and I believe I have a unique ability to understand people and make their dreams realities. I have a great understanding of the market and promise the ultimate satisfaction for my clients.

Q:  Now that you are a North Myrtle Beach Real Estate Agent, what do you like best about the job?

A:  The greatest joy, for me, is working with and meeting wonderful people. Whether selling an old home or finding your dream home, I still experience great happiness when we accomplish our goals. I love making the buying and selling process rewarding and exciting.

Q:  As a real estate agent at Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Elliott Coastal Living in the Myrtle Beach area, you will not have set office hours, so you must be self-motivated.  What motivates you?

A:  I have always been an extremely driven and inherently self-motivated person.

Q:  When you list a house for a client in the Myrtle Beach area, what means of marketing will you use to reach other realtors and potential clients?

A:  I will use all websites available, including BHGRE and the MLS, which will reach all realtors.

Q:  How will you create your client base as a Myrtle Beach Real Estate Agent?

A:  I will use my many friends and family members to create a client base fed from web interaction and face-to-face correspondence.

Q:  What do you think will be the most rewarding aspect of your job as a real estate agent for Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Elliott Coastal Living in Myrtle Beach?

A:  Nothing is more exciting than the gratifying feeling I get from helping people meet their real estate needs. You can count on me to always do what’s in their best interest. I pride myself on being honest, trustworthy, and knowledgeable in the real estate market. I know how important it is to find your dream home or get the best offer for your property. Therefore, I will make it my responsibility to help the clients achieve those goals, whether they are an experienced investor or a first-time buyer. I can help them find the property of their dreams.

It sounds like Teresa is ready to start using all the experience she has gained in public relations and marketing to be one of the best real estate agents in the Myrtle Beach area.  If you would like Teresa Graham to help you buy or sell your beach real estate, call Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Elliott Coastal Living.

Meet Our Realtor Lynne Bryant

Lynne BryantHello again.  We are introducing you to one of our Better Homes and Gardens Elliott Coastal Living Real Estate Agents in North Myrtle Beach, Lynne Bryant.  Lynne has been a beach real estate agent since 2004, and she has extensive experience selling Myrtle Beach Real Estate—oceanfront condos, Cherry Grove channel houses, beach houses, and other beach and residential properties in both South Carolina and North Carolina.

Lynne grew up on a farm across the South Carolina state line in Columbus County, North Carolina, approximately 30 miles north of North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.  Lynne’s father was a mechanic and a farmer, and her mother was a textile worker for over 50 years until she retired.

Lynne attended Nakina High School in North Carolina, where she was a cheerleader.  She also met her husband in elementary school, became sweethearts through high school, and married when they graduated.  Lynne and her husband farmed in the spring and summer, and her husband worked with his dad, building homes in the fall and winter.

In 1978, Lynne and her husband began purchasing and selling real estate in North and South Carolina.  In 1982, they formed their own company and have been building and selling homes in the Cherry Grove area of North Myrtle Beach for more than 35 years.

Lynne and her husband, Lloyd, had two children: Rocky and Tracy.  They are all part of three generations of construction, buying, and selling real estate.  Lynne’s father-in-law, husband, and son have all contributed a lot of work toward the residential development in North Myrtle Beach and other areas. Lynne and her daughter, Tracy Bryant-Ray, are licensed real estate agents working together with Better Homes and Gardens Elliott Coastal Living in North Myrtle Beach to assist others who wish to buy, sell, or learn more about the beach real estate for sale in North Myrtle Beach, as well as the other areas where they are licensed to sell real estate.

Lynne has five grandchildren: A grandson, Wesley, is a high school senior this year and will attend Pfeiffer College in the fall to develop his golfing skills further.  Roxanna, a granddaughter, attends South Columbus High School, where she is active on the volleyball and track teams.  She also has 9-year-old twin grandsons, Bryant and McKinley, who are active in football, baseball, soccer, and the North Myrtle Beach swim team.   Her step-granddaughter, Jaclyn, graduated from Eastern Carolina University and works in Loris, South Carolina.

Lynne is very proud of her family.  Her favorite pastime is devoting as much time as possible to her family, whether attending any sporting events they participate in or cooking a meal for everyone.  She loves having her whole family together.  Lynne is also passionate about her Better Homes and Gardens Elliott Coastal Living Real Estate business.  Let’s find out how Lynne turned her beach real estate business into a successful endeavor.

Q:  Lynne, how long have you been a real estate agent?

A:  In 2004, I decided it was time to make it official and assist others in buying and selling real estate in addition to buying and selling our own real estate. I received my real estate license as a Real Estate Broker in North Carolina in 2004 and began working with Elliott Realty in Cherry Grove in 2006.

Q:  There are many real estate agencies located in North Myrtle Beach, Myrtle Beach, and along the Grand Strand, but you chose BHGRE.  Why?

A:  Our construction business has been busy in the Cherry Grove area of North Myrtle Beach since the late 70’s.  Through the years, we have had many transactions with multiple real estate agencies in the area.  Elliott Realty was the largest in the Cherry Grove area, offering sales and rentals. Senator Dick Elliott and his son, Rick Elliott, both welcomed me to their company.

Q:  How do you market yourself to a potential client that causes them to choose you as their agent?

A:  I have lived within 30 minutes of the Grand Strand all my life and have been buying and selling real estate in the area since the late 70’s.  Working with buyers, I can answer most of their questions. If I can’t, I know the person to ask to get the correct answer.  Working with sellers, I have an extensive client database to assist in getting their property sold. I can give reliable answers if a client has questions concerning the area, construction questions, or general questions.

Q:  What do you attribute your beach real estate agent success to?

A:  I attribute my success in life to my belief and faith in my lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. I have truly been blessed. Being part of a family of three licensed contractors has kept me busy.  Having been in the business for over 35 years, working with people honestly and treating others as I would want to be treated is a significant part of my success.

Q:  As a North Myrtle Beach real estate agent, what do you like best about the job?

A:  I like to feel I have helped someone.  To help people reach their goals is a satisfying accomplishment.  Whether it is finding them a new place to call home, a vacation spot they love for their family, or an investment property to gain income, I like knowing that I have helped them find the property they desire at the price they want to pay or to know that I have assisted a seller to present, market, and sell their property for the best price they could receive.  Being friends with all my clients at the end of the real estate transaction is very important to me.

Q:  Being a real estate agent in Myrtle Beach is very competitive. What do you do that has earned you the title of “one of the best” real estate agents in the Myrtle Beach area?

A: I just do what I feel is essential for each situation.  I have been told many times that I have gone beyond the call of duty, but that is what it takes sometimes to accomplish my goals.

Q:  As a real estate agent at Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Elliott Coastal Living in the Myrtle Beach area, you do not have set office hours, so you must be self-motivated.  What motivates you?

A:  As I said before, I like to help people.  When my phone rings, I receive an email or a text message. I do my best to attend to each one promptly.  It doesn’t matter if I am working with a buyer or a seller or if their transaction involves hundreds, thousands, or millions of dollars. I am motivated to help them achieve their goal.

Q:  When you list a house for a client in the Myrtle Beach area, what means of marketing do you find most valuable in reaching other realtors and potential clients?

A:  The internet is our best means of marketing property today, however, word of mouth from previous clients has kept me busy over the years and still is.

Q:  You seem to have a very good client base in the Myrtle Beach area.  How did you create it?

A:  My client base has been building for a long time.  I also strive to ensure my clients have the best possible beach real estate experience so they will be satisfied with my services.  Satisfied clients return or recommend you as a beach real estate agent when their friends need my services.

Q:  What do you find most rewarding about your job as a real estate agent for Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Elliott Coastal Living in Myrtle Beach?

A:  It is great to tell clients about our affiliation with a significant and nationally recognized household name.

Lynne Bryant is one of our best North Myrtle Beach real estate agents.  As you can surmise from her answers above, she is very committed to assisting her clients in buying or selling beach real estate properties for sale.  If you would like Lynne to help you buy or sell beach real estate, please call Better Homes and Gardens Elliott Coastal Living in North Myrtle Beach, SC.

Janna NanceHello again! We are back to introduce you to our newest beach real estate agent, Janna Nance, who we are happy to add to our team at Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Elliott Coastal Living in North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Janna grew up in Lake View, South Carolina, as the daughter of farmers and learned at an early age that to be successful, you had to work hard and persevere.

Janna was very active in sports throughout high school, which was an invaluable lesson in teamwork and self-discipline. She was a cheerleader and played softball, basketball, and volleyball. After graduating high school, Janna attended the College of Charleston and earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology. After college, Janna worked as a Clinical Counselor and Social Worker for twelve years.

Then, she decided to attend Nursing school at Florence Darlington  Technical College to become a Registered Nurse. Upon completing her RN degree, Janna attended USC- -Spartanburg through a satellite program at Horry-Georgetown Technical College and earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing.  She worked as a Labor/Delivery nurse at Loris Hospital in Loris, South Carolina, for three years.

Moving up the ladder, she was offered a position as Nursing Supervisor at Little River Medical Center, where she worked for several years. Janna became licensed as an Esthetician and transitioned to DermaVogue, where she worked as a Nurse Injector, Laser/Skin treatment specialist, and Office Manager for eleven years. Although it sounds like Janna was very busy educating herself and working, she did take time to get married and has six stepchildren and six grandchildren. Janna also finds time for her hobbies, such as tennis, collecting antiques, and painting furniture. Janna enjoys going to auctions, buying furniture, making it more appealing by refinishing it with paint/stain, and reselling it for a profit.

In 2017, Janna once again pursued additional education. She earned her real estate license and became a real estate agent for Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Elliott Coastal Living in North Myrtle Beach. Let’s find out how Janna is feeling about her new business as a beach real estate agent.

Q: Janna, there are many real estate agencies located in North Myrtle Beach, Myrtle Beach, and along the Grand Strand, but you chose BHGRE. Why?
A: I was familiar with the Elliott Company because we rented our beach house for five years. Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Elliott Coastal Living has great curb appeal and a nice workspace. When I interviewed with them, it felt like a good fit with a familial atmosphere that was very comfortable and cozy. They have the latest technology and training for their agents as well.

Q: How will you market yourself to a potential client that causes them to choose you as their agent?
A: I have years of varied work experience that I bring to the table, and I am very knowledgeable of the Myrtle Beach area and Horry County. My company is franchised with Better Homes and Gardens–a branded name that my clients will recognize as being associated with good products and services. I am persistent, determined when completing tasks, and very competitive. I play to win, whether it is getting the best price for a client’s property that is for sale or finding the perfect property for my clients for a reasonable price.

Q: What assets do you have that will contribute to your success as a beach real estate agent?
A: I am willing to go the extra mile to find my clients the property that fits their specifications and persevere until I find it. I have a strong work ethic and enjoy helping people since I have been a helper “by trade” my entire working career. As I stated earlier, I am a competitor and like to be the best at whatever task I pursue. I also live at the beach and know the lifestyle well and the area itself.

Q: Now that you are a North Myrtle Beach Real Estate Agent, what do you like best about the job?
A: I enjoy meeting new people and getting to know them. I also like the atmosphere in the office at BHGRE, where everyone is very helpful, and the resources are outstanding.

Q: As a real estate agent at Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Elliott Coastal Living in the Myrtle Beach area, you will not have set office hours, so you must be self-motivated. What motivates you?
A: The primary motivation in any task or job I pursue is the need to succeed. I want to do the job well, and of course, I want to succeed financially. Helping other people motivates me, so helping them buy or sell their property will give me great pleasure.

Q: When you list a house for a client in the Myrtle Beach area, what means of marketing will you use to reach other realtors and potential clients?
A: I will list it in the MLS, which is the listing site that will reach all realtors and potential clients. I will also use the technology available to me through Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Elliott Coastal Living and send emails to clients looking for property if it meets their criteria. I will do my homework in this area and gather knowledge from other, more experienced realtors in my office to get more ideas and continue to grow.

Q: How will you create your client base as a Myrtle Beach Real Estate Agent?
A: I will be working in the office during a specific time a couple of days each week to get leads and follow up on them. I will make daily phone calls, prospect for unfamiliar neighborhoods, and use my social contacts.

Q: What do you think will be the most rewarding aspect of your job as a real estate agent for Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Elliott Coastal Living in Myrtle Beach?
A: The most rewarding aspect of my job will be helping people reach a goal they have set, such as buying their dream home or selling a property quickly and for as much money as possible. I will enjoy being a key player in making a person’s dreams come true.

Doesn’t Janna sound great? She has much experience working with the public and enjoys helping people reach their goals. Meet Our Realtor Tracy Bryant – Ray

Tracy Bryant-RayHappy Cinco de Mayo!  Today, we are introducing you to another of our Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Elliott Coastal Living agents in the Myrtle Beach Area, Tracy Bryant-Ray, whose whole family is involved in real estate.  Tracy grew up with one brother in Nakina, North Carolina, approximately 30 miles north of North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.  Her father was a licensed contractor, and he and her mother owned a contracting business. They developed a very successful contracting business building beach homes in Cherry Grove, South Carolina, on North Myrtle Beach’s north end.  Tracy’s mother got her real estate license in both North and South Carolina, so she could also sell beach real estate and build it.  Tracy says, “My mother is an awesome mentor as I learn more about the business.”

Tracy attended South Columbus High School, playing basketball and tennis, but her passion was for dance (ballet, tap, jazz, etc.).  Tracy graduated from Waccamaw Academy in Whiteville, North Carolina, approximately 45 miles northwest of North Myrtle Beach real estate.  After graduation, Tracy attended the University of North Carolina Wilmington and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Recreational Therapy.  She continued her education with Liberty University, earning a Master of Arts in Elementary Education.

After college and years of dance training, Tracy opened her dance school in Loris, South Carolina, approximately 30 miles west of North Myrtle Beach. During this time, Tracy met and married her husband, also named Tracy.  They have nine-year-old identical twin boys who hold the key to her heart.  Tracy also has a 23-year-old stepdaughter.

Tracy owned and operated her dance school for 13 years until she decided to sell it in 2015, hoping to have more time for her family.  Although she closed her dance school, she has continued to teach a few select students over the past two years.  Eventually, Tracy decided to join the family in their real estate ventures, so she became a beach real estate agent with Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Elliott Coastal Living in the Myrtle Beach area.

Tracy has been a beach real estate agent for a little over a year and has her beach real estate business off to a great start.  Of course, her mother is Lynne Bryant, one of our best North Myrtle Beach real estate agents.  We think that Lynne is probably giving her daughter, Tracy, a little guidance so that she can become the best beach real estate agent possible.  Let’s find out how Tracy is handling her beach real estate business.

Q:  There are many real estate agencies located in North Myrtle Beach, Myrtle Beach, and along the Grand Strand, but you chose BHGRE. Why?

A:  I chose Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Elliott Coastal Living in Myrtle Beach for a few reasons.  First, I grew up in the area and know the Elliott name has an excellent reputation for real estate in and around Myrtle Beach. I also know that Better Homes & Gardens is a national brand everyone recognizes! With these two together, how could I go wrong?

Second, my Mom had been an agent with BHGRE for several years before I came on board. Her great experiences significantly influenced my choice to join the BHGRE team.

Q:  How do you market yourself to a potential client that causes them to choose you as their agent?

A:  I think most people seek an agent who will be honest, prompt, and dependable in all aspects of the buying or selling process. I believe striving to exhibit these characteristics will eventually pay off with potential buyers or sellers. If I do a good job, they will, hopefully, recommend me to their friends and acquaintances.

Q:  When you list a house for a client in the Myrtle Beach area, what means of marketing do you find most valuable in reaching other realtors and potential clients?

A:  I will use the MLS, which will reach all the realtors, and the other websites available to me, such as Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Elliott Coastal Living.

Q:  What do you find most rewarding about your job as a real estate agent for Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Elliott Coastal Living in Myrtle Beach?

A:  I enjoy looking for and trying to find the “just right” property for my clients. When they do find it, it is rewarding to know that I helped them find what they were looking for.

Tracy Bryant-Ray is ready to go to work for you.  If you would like Tracy to help you buy or sell Myrtle Beach Real Estate, call Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Elliott Coastal Living.

Meet Our Realtor Dennis Bellamy

Dennis BellamyToday, we are introducing you to Dennis (D. J.) Bellamy is one of our dedicated Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Elliott Coastal Living beach agents in North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.  D. J. grew up with three sisters in Little River, South Carolina, approximately four miles outside of North Myrtle Beach, which is known for its Annual Blue Crab Festival.  D. J.’s father was a United States Marine, and his mother owned a travel agency.

D. J. met his fiancée while attending North Myrtle Beach Middle School, but they did not start dating and get engaged until much later. He and his fiancée have two children–a daughter, Allyana, a competitive dancer, and a son, Dennis, a toddler.  They live in beautiful Carolina Forest real estate, a well-planned community a few miles outside Myrtle Beach.

The Carolina Forest development has several different communities.  Some are golf communities, some are waterfront communities, and others offer Myrtle Beach townhomes and condos for sale in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.  Due to their excellent school systems and proximity to oceanfront communities like Myrtle Beach, the Carolina Forest real estate is in demand, especially by families with school-age children.

D. J. graduated from North Myrtle Beach High School and attended South Carolina State and Horry-Georgetown Technical College.  Horry-Georgetown Tech is approximately five miles north of Myrtle Beach.  He earned a degree in Business and Marketing and went on to get his Real Estate License.  Let’s find out how D. J. feels his Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Elliott Coastal Living business is doing.

Q:  D. J., how long have you been a beach real estate agent for BHGRE in North Myrtle Beach?

A:  I have been a beach real estate agent for three years but am licensed to sell anywhere in South Carolina.

Q: Many Myrtle Beach real estate agencies are located along the Grand Strand.  Why did you choose BHGRE in North Myrtle Beach?

A:  There are several reasons.  One is that the BHGRE branding carries prestige, is a household name, and is a well-known national brand.  The name is associated with a sense of comfort and well-being, precisely what a client wants when searching for Myrtle Beach real estate.

Also, the Elliotts—who own BHGRE—are almost like family because I grew up around them.  My grandmother used to clean oceanfront condos and other North Myrtle Beach real estate for Senator Dick Elliott.  When I got old enough, I also worked for Elliott Beach Rentals.  The Elliotts are honest and have a good business reputation in the Myrtle Beach community.

Q:  Do you prefer to sell Myrtle Beach oceanfront condos for sale, Beach homes for sale, houses for sale in Myrtle Beach, or land for sale in Myrtle Beach?

A:  I do not have a preference when selling beach real estate.  I enjoy selling all properties if there is a demand for them.

Q:  As a North Myrtle Beach real estate agent, what do you like best about the job?

A:  I enjoy the beach culture and beautiful, scenic area where I get to show my clients the ambiance of the Myrtle Beach oceanfront condos for sale and homes, as well as the real estate within the cities of Myrtle Beach, North Myrtle Beach, and along the rest of the Grand Strand.

Q:  As a beach real estate agent at Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Elliott Coastal Living in North Myrtle Beach, you do not have set office hours, so you must be self-motivated.  What motivates you?

A:  Of course, any job’s primary purpose and motivation is to earn money to support your family, so that is a priority.  But I also like to be competitive and work hard to find my clients the exact piece of Myrtle Beach real estate they want.

Q:  When you list a house for a client in the North Myrtle Beach or Myrtle Beach areas, what means of marketing do you find most valuable in reaching other realtors and potential clients?

A:  I find that social media is the most effective way to reach most potential clients and other realtors, and of course, the MLS, which is a listing website.  I also use a lot of word of mouth.

Q:  Everyone searching for a home wants their dream home for a dream price.  What is the most challenging aspect of finding your clients their dream home in Myrtle Beach?

A:  Sometimes, it is a challenge to get the client to understand that the closer to the oceanfront you are, the more expensive the Myrtle Beach Real Estate will be.  The best thing to do is show the clients comparables for houses in the locations they think they want to scout.  That will illustrate to them how much they will need to be able to finance to purchase their dream home.

Q:  What do you find most rewarding about your job as a beach real estate agent for Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Elliott Coastal Living in North Myrtle Beach?

A:  I like being my boss.  I also like being responsible for all my good and bad business decisions.  I enjoy making my clients happy by selling their homes for the best price possible and finding them the home they feel is perfect for them.

Dennis (D. J.) Bellamy is ready to go to work for you.  If you want D. J. to help you buy or sell Myrtle Beach real estate, call Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Elliott Coastal Living today.

Meet Our Realtor Matt Becker

Matt BeckerToday, we introduce you to North Myrtle Beach real estate agent Matt Becker.  He grew up in Southern Illinois in a family of four.  He had one brother, and his father owned an insurance company.  After graduating from high school, he attended college and got his Associate’s Degree.  After college, he married a young lady from Illinois.  The newlyweds remained there since it was their hometown, but his parents purchased Myrtle Beach real estate and moved to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

Not long after their move into their beach real estate, Matt and his wife visited his parents and enjoyed Myrtle Beach’s 70-degree weather. But once they returned home, there was a blizzard.  Matt and his wife decided to move south to the warm, sunny climate of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, and enjoy the ocean breezes, mild weather, and all the other amenities the Grand Strand offers.  Off they went to shop for homes for sale in Myrtle Beach.

Matt became a North Myrtle Beach real estate agent, and he and his wife started a beautiful family.  First, he had a little girl currently attending the University of South Carolina, majoring in Biology, with a long-term goal of becoming an orthodontist.  Next came a son, currently enrolled in the Academy of Arts, Science, and Technology and majoring in digital communication in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. The Academy of Arts, Science, and Technology is adjacent to Myrtle Beach homes for sale in the Carolina Forest community.

Matt is one of our most successful Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Elliott Coastal Living agents in North Myrtle Beach, so we asked him a few questions about his success as a South Carolina real estate agent.  Here we go…

Q:  How long have you been a Myrtle Beach real estate agent?

A:  I have been a North Myrtle Beach Real Estate Agent for 24 years.  I worked with another company for ten years.  Then, I decided to go to work for Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Elliott Coastal Living in North Myrtle Beach.

Q:  There are many North Myrtle Beach realty agencies, but you chose BHGRE—Why?

A:  My mother was working for Elliott Beach Rentals, and she told me Rick Elliott’s family, who owns Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Elliott Coastal Living, was a very well-respected, honest family with good values.  She felt the company would be one that I would enjoy aligning myself with as an employee.  It had a great reputation, so I tried it, and I have been with Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Elliott Coastal Living for 14 years.

Q:  How do you market yourself to a potential client that causes them to choose you as their North Myrtle Beach real estate agent?

A:  I feel like my credentials speak for themselves.  I have had a broker’s license since around 1996.  I have 24 years’ experience.  I was a top producer at my prior job for ten years.  I have been in the top five since 2003 at Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Elliott Coastal Living.

Q:  You are one of our most successful real estate agents.  What do you attribute your success to?

A:  I live, eat, and breathe beach real estate.  I am always available, and I have fun with it.  You can’t be too serious all the time.

Q:  Do you prefer to focus on Myrtle Beach oceanfront condos, beach houses for sale, or beach land for sale?

A:  I prefer to sell houses and condos in North Myrtle Beach because they are more affordable, and the client can still be close to the beach.

Q:  As a North Myrtle Beach Real Estate Agent, what do you like best about the job?

A:  I like working with and meeting all the people.  I like the diversity of the people you meet.  Every day is different.  It is never dull.

Q:  Being a Myrtle Beach real estate agent is very competitive.  What do you do that has earned you the description of “one of the best” real estate agents in the Myrtle Beach area?

A:  I am fair and honest.  I ensure that everyone in the transaction is 100% aware of everything about the beach property for sale and that the client is always satisfied.  If the clients are not happy—no one is happy!!

Q:  As a North Myrtle Beach real estate agent at Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Elliott Coastal Living, you do not have set office hours, so you must be self-motivated.

What motivates you?

A:  Hunger—I am always excited about finding Myrtle Beach property for people.  I am excited to find exactly what they are looking for, and it could come along at any minute during the day.  You must stay on top of the inventory of houses for sale in Myrtle Beach, and check the MLSs and foreclosures.

Q:  When you list houses for sale in North Myrtle Beach for a client, what means of marketing do you find most valuable in reaching other realtors and potential clients?

A:  Online is the best way to reach potential buyers.  The MLS is the best way to reach other agents.  Although I am the agent that lists the Myrtle Beach real estate listings, any agent can sell the property.

Q:  You seem to have a very good client base in the North Myrtle Beach area.  How did you create it?

A:  I have created it throughout all my years in the business.  I have a lot of referrals because if you do people right—and I do—they like to pass your name along.

Q:  What do you find most rewarding about your job as a North Myrtle Beach real estate agent for Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Elliott Coastal Living?

A:  The most rewarding aspect of my job is the success in matching people with the perfect North Myrtle Beach real estate that meets their needs the best and makes them the happiest!!
